Zenso Terms of Service
Effective Date: November 5, 2026 | Version: 1.0
These Terms govern the use of the Zenso ecosystem: zenso.ink, the web application panel.zenso.ink ("Panel"), plugins ("Plugins"), and the local deployment package ("Self-Hosted").
§ 1. General Provisions
- Service Provider: Konrad Stępień, operating under the business name Konrad Stępień Techio, ul. Górczewska 200A lok. 36, 01-460 Warszawa, Poland, EU VAT/Tax ID: PL8161712508, REGON: 389671282, email: [email protected].
- User: any individual or entity using Zenso.
- Consumer: a natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business, or profession (including sole proprietors granted consumer protection under applicable statutory law).
§ 2. Technical Requirements & Contract Formation
- To use Zenso, you need: an internet-connected device, a modern web browser with cookies/local storage enabled, an active email account, and—to display graphics—a compatible Wi-Fi-enabled e-ink device.
- The electronic service agreement is concluded upon:
- clicking the confirmation link sent via email – for the Waitlist / Newsletter,
- completing Account registration and accepting these Terms – for a Panel Account (
panel.zenso.ink).
- Baseline services are provided free of charge (subject to the commercial restrictions in § 6).
§ 3. Service Availability & Updates (Early Access)
- The platform is currently in Beta. For free-tier services, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability (no SLA) and reserve the right to perform maintenance and modify API specifications or screen refresh limits.
- Introducing paid subscription tiers in the future will never result in automatic charges—switching to a paid plan requires your prior, explicit consent.
§ 4. Acceptable Use & Content Moderation (DSA)
- Uploading unlawful content is strictly prohibited, including material infringing third-party rights, malicious code (malware), and actions overloading infrastructure or bypassing API rate limits. In case of violations, we may disable access to the offending content or suspend a device token, notifying you accordingly.
- Notice & Action Procedure (DSA Compliance): Reports regarding unlawful content or Plugins may be sent to [email protected] (specifying the content location and justification). We review reports within 14 days. If content is removed or disabled, the affected User will receive a statement of reasons and appeal instructions.
§ 5. External Integrations & Hardware (DIY)
- Third-Party Services & Plugins: You connect external accounts, URLs, and API keys and install community Third-Party Plugins at your own risk. We are not responsible for the availability of external services, content fetched from them, or fees charged by third-party API providers.
- E-Ink Hardware: We are not liable for component damage caused during independent hardware assembly (DIY) or accelerated display wear (ghosting / burn-in) resulting from configuring overly frequent refresh intervals or operating outside the display manufacturer's specifications. This clause does not limit mandatory statutory Consumer rights.
§ 6. Self-Hosted License (Docker) & Commercial Use (B2B)
- The
zenso-apiandzenso-panelsoftware is our exclusive intellectual property, governed by the Zenso Source-Protected & Self-Hosted License v1.1. - Personal License (HomeLab): We grant a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, royalty-free license to run official Self-Hosted Docker images solely for personal, educational, and non-commercial use, limited to a maximum of 5 physical devices per User.
- Restrictions: You may not decompile or reverse-engineer the software, redistribute it, bypass device limits, or offer Zenso to third parties as a managed service (SaaS / PaaS).
- Commercial License (B2B): Using Zenso (Cloud or Self-Hosted) for business, team, or commercial purposes, or exceeding the 5-device limit, requires a separate paid Commercial License (and a GDPR Data Processing Agreement if personal data is processed). Contact: [email protected].
§ 7. Termination, Right of Withdrawal & Complaints
- Termination: You may terminate this agreement at any time by deleting your Account in the Panel, clicking "Unsubscribe" in the Newsletter, or emailing [email protected].
- Right of Withdrawal (Consumers): Consumers have the statutory right to withdraw from this distance contract within 14 days of conclusion without giving any reason by emailing [email protected].
- Complaints: Complaints regarding the services may be submitted to [email protected] and will be resolved within 14 days.
§ 8. Final Provisions
- These Terms are governed by Polish law, without depriving EU Consumers of mandatory statutory protections applicable in their country of habitual residence. Consumers may use certified Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) entities in their jurisdiction (in Poland, including municipal consumer ombudsmen and the Trade Inspection).
- In relations with non-Consumer Users (B2B), our liability arising from free-of-charge services is excluded (except for intentional misconduct), and disputes shall be resolved by the court having jurisdiction over our registered seat.
- Registered Users will be notified of amendments to these Terms for important reasons (legal changes, new features, introduction of paid tiers, or security updates) via email at least 14 days in advance.
